We are pleased to announce the 12th International Conference on Frontiers in Handwriting Recognition (ICFHR) to be held at Kolkata, the cultural capital of India. There had been ten successful International Workshops on Frontiers in Handwriting Recognition (IWFHR) since 1990 held around the world. ICFHR was first organized at Montreal, Canada in 2008 with its natural promotion from IWFHR. This conference provides a forum for researchers in on-line and off-line handwriting recognition, pen-based interface systems, historical manuscript analysis, writer identification and authentication etc. The program committee invites the submission of papers for consideration of presentation in the Conference.  The authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work in the form of oral presentations or posters. The language of all papers and presentations will be only English. All papers will be peer reviewed and the accepted papers will be considered for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings to be published by the CPS (Conference Publishing Services).
